The graphics are slightly better than that of Rome II but the game requires a high-end pc to run look good and run smoothly.
The game offers several fractions from the Goths to the Eastern and Western Roman Empires each with their own unique traits and units, as well unique names for the cities. There are also historical scenario which closely puts the player through the event as accurate as best but one must remember since this is a game there are some historic hippcups.
The battles are large and offer the players many options when it comes to attacking or defending. The AL does have some flaws such as units taking arrow fire instead of running but are overall fun.
